Château dExindre
Coteaux du Languedoc AC
Coteaux du Languedoc is the appellation reserved for the more traditional
varieties of the Midi. This Château, a wine property since Roman
times, owned by kings, then monks and finally by the same family since
the Revolution, is the epitome of tradition married to the best modern
methods. The vineyard sits on the side of the Massif de la Gardiole overlooking
the sea and with perfect exposure to the sun.
The Cuvée Magdalia comes from very old Carignan vines, where age
and low yields show how good this variety can be, blended with some Syrah
and Grenache. Tremendous colour, lovely berry fruit nose, and delicious
in the mouth with a good balance of fruit and structure. A lovely ripe,
rich, concentrated wine. Order this wine
The Cuvée Amélius is made from mostly Syrah with some Grenache
of low yields, given a prolonged fermentation and then aged for a year
in oak casks. The result is a wine of great depth, power and style. It
has tremendous colour, a very attractive nose with plenty of fruit combining
the vanilla of the oak. Long on the palate, concentrated rich and dense.
Delicious. Order this wine
